Law firm acquisition and partnership search

Northeastern Advisors is conducting a retained buy-side acquisition search for consumer law firms across the United States. The search focuses on established firms with strong teams, consistent growth and leadership committed to building the business over the long term.

Target practice areas and geography

• Family Law: regional platforms first, followed by add-on opportunities
• Immigration: national coverage
• Trusts & Estates: including elder law, with a focus on major metropolitan markets

Ideal partner profile

• Owner-led firm where Family Law, Immigration or Trusts & Estates is the main practice, roughly 50% or more
• 7 or more attorneys, with a strong, stable team
• Normalized EBITDA of approximately $1M to $3M+, after normalizing owner compensation
• Consistent growth, ideally 10% or more per year; no turnarounds
• Four or fewer equity partners
• Leadership committed to staying and growing the firm for at least 5 years
